Russian Wine companies took an interest in Georgian wine production and its export. Wine and Champaign Producer Company, Abrau Durso is considering launching its own project in Georgia. The founder of the company, Pavel Titov inspected Georgian vineyards.
“We are considering a potential project in Georgia. It might be not only distribution but purchasing actives”- declared Titov.
Wine trade company Simple specialists believe that the potential of Georgian wine will increase even more.
“There is a big demand for Georgian wine and it is going to grow. We will raise the volume of the wine and simultaneously we will get ready for our own production”- declared one of the members of Sample’s council of directors.
Russia prohibited Georgian wine import in 2006. The main claim was the quality of the wine. Georgia wine export to Russia was renewed in June, 2013.
