Perspectives of Georgian Wine Export to Belarus

 The head of National Wine Agency, Giorgi Samanishvili met an ambassador of Republic of Belarus, Mikhail Miatlikov. The chairman of National Intellectual Property Center Sakpatenti, Nikoloz Gogiladze and representatives of ministry of Agriculture attended the meeting.

The participants of the meetings discussed the perspectives of increasing export of Georgian wine to Belarus and possibilities of implementing marketing events and establishing a good mutual cooperation.

The visitors were in the national museum of wine and they tried Georgian wine and visited Marani.

Belarus is a traditional market for Georgian wine. It occupied 6th place among the biggest exporters in 2016. In 2016, 1 174 362 bottles of wine were exported to Belarus which was 30% more compared to 2015.
