Levan Davitashvili: Georgian Wine Festival is Celebration of Successful Vintage

Georgian Wine Festival 2018 ” was opened by the Minister of Environment Protection and Agriculture of Georgia, Levan Davitashvili.

The festival is held on Shardeni, Sioni Street.

According to Levan Davitashvili, wine festival in October  has become a tradition. “Within the framework of the wine festival, various activities are held in Georgia. First we started with Wine Day and as a result of great interest, now we are celebrating  Wine Month, which includes various events in Tbilisi as well as in different parts of Georgia. This is a celebration of successful vintage,  which has brought the record amount of income to the farmers this year. This is a celebration. The promotion of Georgian wine is very important for our country, that’s what  we are continuously doing, “said Levan Davitashvili, Minister of Environment Protection and Agriculture of Georgia.

“Georgian Wine Festival 2018 ” will  be  held for the second time  with the organization of online store and media portal Allwine.ge and” Maidan Group “. Along with big companies, small marts have been actively involved in this year’s production and have limited amount of wine that you can not meet everywhere. Along with wine tasting and exhibition-selling, various products will be presented at the festival: cheese, Churchkhela, dried fruit, honey and Georgian accessories.
