G&T: Georgia May Host 7.6 million Tourists by 2022

Galt&Taggart has published tourism sector research results.

According to the report, tourism is one of the rapidly growing sectors of Georgian economy and it is an important source of inflow of foreign currency.

The report analyzes tourism statistics, under which 3.5 million tourists visited Georgia in 2017 and revenues from tourism sector made up 2.8 billion USD.

According to Galt&Taggart forecasts, Georgia is expected to host 4.2million tourist in 2018, while the figure may hike to 7.6 million tourists by 2022, twice more than the population of Georgia.
