Georgia Received $1.361 Billion Revenue from International Tourism

In the first half of 2018 Georgia received 1,361 billion USD from international tourism, which is 28.9%, meaning 305 million more than in the first half of 2017.

Georgia received 551 million dollars in the first quarter of this year (+ 29.4%), which is 125 million dollars more than in the first quarter of 2017. The share of tourism in the GDP of the first quarter of 2018 amounts 6.8%. Increase compared with the previous year + 16.6%.

Total income from international tourism in Georgia amounted to 2.7 billion dollars (+ 28.1%), 594 million dollars more than 2016.

By 2017, the share of gross domestic product was 6.9%. Increase compared to the same period of the previous year + 13%.

By the end of the year, the estimated 8.5 million international travelers will visit Georgia and revenues from international tourism will exceed $ 3 billion.
