Georgia to Host Asian Winter Resorts International Conference

Georgia will host Asian Winter Resorts International Conference in April,2017.  The minister of Economy and Sustainable Development, Giorgi Chigovadze and general secretary of UN World Tourism, Taleb Riphai signed an agreement. More than 250 delegates will attend the 3rd conference of European and Asian winter resorts development.

According to the head of National tourism administration, Giorgi Chigovani European and Asian Winter resorts conference is a very important event for Georgia. On the one hand,it helps to raise publicity of the country and shows the potential at the international level, on the other hand, it promotes the development of tourism.

After signing the agreement, the general secretary of UN World Tourism declared: “I am glad that we made this agreement with Georgian Tourism Administration. It is very important that Winter resorts conference which takes place once in 2 years will be held in Georgia this year. This event will be held after a very successful wine festival which was hosted by Georgia in September.”
