The U.S. State Department transmitted The Emerging Young Leaders Award to Georgian Student

Nino Nanitashvili was awarded with The Emerging Young Leaders Award by the U.S. State Department.

“In recognition of the positive role young people play in building sustainable peace, the U.S. Department of State is honoring outstanding young leaders from around the world. On Wednesday, April 20, the 10 recipients of the inaugural Emerging Young Leaders Award from Afghanistan, Burma, France, Georgia, Honduras, Indonesia, Kenya, Malta, Palestinian Territories, Tunisia, were acknowledged in a public ceremony at the State Department for their efforts to create constructive social change.”

According to the Embassy of the United States in Georgia, Nino was in the list of 10 people around the world, who were awarded for useful and inventive modifications implemented in society.

Nino has established Google Developers Group – the first professional technological society in Georgia.

As flickr writes, Nino Nanitashvili is the first Georgian, who created technology-driven professional association Google Developer Group. She held up to 400 events withing the framework of the project.

“I’m truly humbled to receive this award as an appreciation of the work undertaken in the fields of technologies and civic engagement. Honored to be able to represent Georgia and its youth, who strive to build a better country”, – said Nino Nanitashvili.
