Microsoft Fined Seven Georgian Companies With $100 000

From November 2015 to 2016, court has closed seven out of ten violation of rights in terms of Microsoft’s intellectual property, cost of damages totaled 239 000 US dollars.

According to the director of Microsoft Georgia Nikoloz Doborjigindze, seven companies were fined with 100 000 us dollars, as a result they were forced to pay software legalization  fee of $100 000. Doborjinidze told Businesscontract that these decisions are made by Microsoft’s head quarters.

Courts are reviewing three cases of violating Microsoft’s copyrights. Business Legal Bureau represents Microsoft Corp, which means company fights to defense it’s copyright.

As for the latest Global Software Survey of BSA | The Software Alliance, during 2015 year in Georgia 84% of software were pirated. Commercial cost of mentioned totaled $24 million.
