Invention by Lasha Telia, 15, Draws Interest of Oil and Gas Corporation

The invention introduced by Lasha Telia, a 15 year-old pupil, has draw much intention in the society. Even Georgian Oil and gas Corporation (GOGC) has launched studying this invention.

The issues and subjects in which I am interested are not taught at pubic schools. Therefore, I have entered UG-Limes Academy and passed unique and innovative curricula – Cognize Electronics. This program is to popularize physics, electronics, mathematics, informatics, robotics to raise interest of pupils in these disciplines.

“I and my two friends – Giorgi Jlantiashvili and Beka Abulashvili invented a device Universal Meter that is to protect various facilities”.

Universal Meter fits to be installed on bridges and landslip  zones, on historical monuments located at residential places.

GOGC has already showed interest in this invention and plans to install this device on the pipelines to ensure their security. The device is able to give alarming signal in case of breakdowns.

I have participated in the Millennium Innovation competition thanks to UG-Limes Academy. I and my team members have introduced Universal Meters device to this competition. Our project was included in the list of final top ten projects and we received huge experience.
