First Georgian LED TV Set to Appear in Retail Network on May 1

AG Microelectronics is the first microelectronic enterprise in the Caucasus Region. Georgian and Azerbaijani businessmen have invested 3 million USD in the plant construction.

The enterprise has also obtained a 167 000 USD financial support component as part of the Produce in Georgia state program. As a result, the company owners have expanded the production. Currently, the company employs 50 persons.

The company sells its products on the domestic market. In the near future, the production line will be broadened. As a result, the enterprise will manufacture about 1 million bulbs a year for exports purposes.

Replacement of the currently used lights by energy-efficient LED bulbs will spare about 10 billion kw/h electricity for 20 years, 500 million kw/h a year.

Moreover, on May 1, 2016 the company will start retail distribution of the first Georgian LED TV sets of own production. Later, the product will be also exported to foreign markets.
