Veins Urgent Assistance Center to Launch Operation

Free Consultations for Prevention of Chronic Vein Disease.

Starting April 9 a veins urgent assistance center will launch operation at Tbilisi Mall  to provide free consultations about progression of chronic vein diseases and risks of their progress, as well as to introduce prevention mechanisms and share recommendations that should be taken into account for disease prevention.

Doppler cabinet will be placed at Veins Urgent Assistance Center to ensure valuable examination of patients. The campaign is carried out under the aegis of Association of Angiologists and Blood Vessel Surgeons of Georgia and its objective is to upgrade public awareness about chronic vein diseases and to promote treatment process.

«It is frequently said as if chronic disease of veins is expressed  in varicose veins. This is erroneous consideration. Vein pains, at the initial stage, without visible signs, is expressed in discomforts in legs and it necessarily must be healed in this phase. That’s why consultations are necessary. It is available to take into account certain recommendations without a doctor that will decrease certain risks of disease – this is lifestyle modification and treatment by medications», Zaza Lazarashvili, president of Association of Angiologists and Blood Vessel Surgeons of Georgia, said.

The campaign will last on Tbilisi Mall territory for a month, through May 14. Every Saturday and Sunday (excluding April 15-16), from 11 o;clock to 18 o’clock, patients will receive free consultations at veins urgent assistance center.
