The Republican Clinic Hospital Construction Works are underway in Batumi, the Ajara Region.
Georgian Prime Minister Giorgi Kvirikashvili, Ajara Government chairman Archil Khabadze, Ajara Finance and Economy Minister David Baladze, the region’s ministers and other officials attended the ceremony of laying the foundation.
The new multi-profile hospital will embrace 170 beds. The facility will be equipped with modern medical technologies and appliances to offer high-quality services to patients.
Two 5-floor and one 4-floor buildings will be built on the territory. Central entrance will be arranged at the corner of Abuseridze and Griboedov Streets. The construction site is located at Abuseridze Street N2. The space of the territory is 22107 square meters.
At this stage, foundation arrangement works are underway and 30 citizens are employed in the working process. The figure will increase to 60 ones in the future. The construction of the medical facility will be financed from the Ajara Finance and Economy Ministry by 22 million GEL. The construction of the multifunctional hospital will end in spring 2018. The Republican Hospital was built in 1964. Its material-technical basis was mortised about 20 years ago.
