Partnership for Affordable Health’s Scheme for Reducing Prices on Medicines

The Ministry of Health has founded the NNP “Partnership for Affordable Health” – will undertake a program that will provide access to medicines for certain chronic diseases for patients with pension and disabilities (“halving the possible price”).

“The state will announce the tender, where all the company will have the right to participate. Medications will be selected based on necessity, however the focus will be made on the treatment of essential medicines for the most common chronic deseases,”- says Irakli Margvelashvili, the board head of ”Partnership for Affordable Health”.

According to him, NNP was registered 2 days ago, among their founders are: the Ministry of Health, Association of Pharmaceutical Companies and local producer GMP.
