Cancer Medication Recalled from Pharmacy Networks

Taxoter medication has been recalled from Georgian pharmaceutical market. This medication is used against cancer.

According to official website of LEPL State Regulation Agency for Medical Activities, the agency has received notification from Sanofi-Aventis Deutschland GmbH, under which the specific concentrate of the mentioned medication must be recalled from the market.

“We have received notification from Sanofi-Aventis Deutschland GmbH, under which Taxoter (Docetaxel (docetaxel trihydrate)) 20mg/1ml concentrate, for preparation of infusion solution, flacon N1, manufacturer: Sanofi-Aventis Deutschland GmbH, state registration NR014875; series 7F307A, 7F307C; validity period 01.2019 must be recalled from the market, because the product does not comply with due specifications (exceeds the standard norms). According to the same notification, sales of this medication must be ceased”, the Agency’s statement reads.

Two months ago some groups of Ketotifen and Medazepam were recalled from the pharmaceutical market on the ground of notification from JSC Warsaw Pharmaceutical Plant Polfa and Tarchomin Pharmaceutical Works “Polfa” Join Stock Co.
