Social campaign “What Hurts?” was created by joint initiative of The Ministry of Labour Health and Social Affairs and the International Consulting Company “Global Aliance“.
This campaign takes into account the survey of population in order to reveal the problems they have in terms of healthcare sphere.
According to the results surveys showed that the most urgent problem the population has in general, faced the deficit of healthcare quality, and the access to medicines.
Giga Chkhaidze, who is the CEO of the NGO “Healthy Fair Society”, talks about the role of the first rang in healthcare system development.
“The primary components of the reform – is one of the most efficient and complex event, that is why healthcare is one of the most successful sphere in the country. There is a very great contribution to the family doctor institution.
“As for preventive medicine, I think, there are a lot of positive trends in the country in this direction. Thus, we are moving forward”, Chkheidze announced.
Giga Chkheidze highlighted several problems and issues which need to be arranged and solved urgently and the State should take into consideration this occasions when planning the reform.
“The reform should foresee itself the development of Family doctor Institution. First of all, we need to support family physicians continuing medical education, and normal labor remuneration. In addition, the clinics should be properly equipped technically, and throughout the regions infrastructure should develop.”
