China to Assist Georgia in the Implementation of Psychiatric Clinic Project

According to the project, psychiatric hospitals will be built in Telavi and Senaki. The construction site of each hospital will be made in accordance with the agreement signed between the two countries on “Implementation of the Infrastructure Improvement Project of Psychiatric Institutions” and cover approximately 2230 sq.m.

Each hospital includes an outpatient unit, a crisis intervention department, a psychological rehabilitation service department, a stationary office of 30 beds, office and rooms equipped with auxiliary equipment.

The Chinese side is responsible for project design, providing equipment and materials for construction; The required number of engineers and technical personnel will send to Georgia for the construction of works, as well as providing suppliers that includes installation and testing.

In a letter to Ian Yanchin, the Minister of Healthcare confirms that Georgia is committed to providing land for hospitals and land for temporary use, in the construction process. Ensure the dismantling of all barriers underground and cleaning of construction sites. Also, the Government of Georgia will assist Chinese engineers and technical personnel in obtaining a visa and residence permit.
