Wireless lightings are installed in Dariali Gorge

Temporary wireless lighting are being installed in Dariali Gorge.

According to Road Department, 60 Led lighting poles will be placed in the disaster zone and it will fully illuminate the perimeter, which will become the traffic more safe and conformable.

Also, in the case of evacuation, illuminated road will simplify withdrawal of people, vehicles and equipment from the disaster zone.

To remind, traffic was restricted at 18:00 p.m. as a result of heavy rain on June 23, the torrent flowing from the Devdoraki Gorge blocked the river-bed of Terek, consequently Terek River changed its direction and about 800m road section of Mtskheta-Stephantsminda-Larsi highway was swept away by the floodwater.

Now, the road and traffic is restored under the concrete regime in Dariali Gorge.
