Three Georgian Climbers Conquer Larkia – First Georgian Route in Himalaya

Archil Badriashvili, Giorgi Tepnadze and Bakar Gelashvili are the first Georgians to take Himalaya Mountains route and conquer the peak of Larkia, in Nepali.

Minister of Sport and Youth, Tariel Khechikashvili hosted the returnee climbers from Himalaya.

”Georgian climber team arrived in Kathmandu on September 8. Badriashvili, Tepnadze and Gelashvili started 9-day assault, which was crowned with conquering the peak. It’s noteworthy, that it took young climbers 6 days to pass Larkia 700 meters South-East wall. Consequently, they achieved 6A category and managed to come back safe.”-explained at Sport Ministry.

The route is officially taken in international records  entitled ”Georgian Route”.
