The EU to Allocate 2.2 billion Euros for Clean Energy Projects

The program “Horizon 2020” allocates 2.2 billion euros for clean energy projects in four interconnected areas: renewable energy sources, energy-efficient buildings, electric power and storage facilities.

It also includes 200 million euros to elaborate and produce next generation electric batteries that will play an important role in reducing dependence on fossil fuels and drastically reduction of emissions.

This statement was spread by the European Commission on October 27, during the presentation of the program “Horizon 2020” priorities. In addition to the clean energy, the areas of interest are migration, security, climate and digital economy.
