Tbilisi City Hall Finances Vocational Studies for 700 Students

Tbilisi City Hall is financing vocational trainings for 700 students. More than 1400 residents of the capital city have passed registration, including bodies from socially vulnerable families and groups.

According to Tbilisi City Hall, students are being trained in three directions. They will be specialized in three colleges for tourism, services and development fields. Under the city hall program, trainings are being held at Speqtri, Ikaros and Mermisi schools.

“In tourism field the trade of a chef is an in-demand profession. Welding master and electrician are in-demand professions in the field of construction works, while in the service sector, hotel manager is the most popular position. The program also provides English language courses due to the mentioned fields. Employers are involved in the students training courses”, Gogi Chikovani, head of education and youth affairs department, told BM.GE.

Tbilisi City Hall has allocated 175 000 GEL for financing the mentioned project.
