Metis restaurant plans to host a charity evening in support to Monk Andria Fund. The idea of conducting the charity event was proposed by Mother Tinatin, founder of Monk Andria Fund.
Leila Hamani told BPI that the event support is provided by Kakheti Wine Center Mosmieri, Metis restaurant and UFE Georgia nongovernmental organization.
“The idea of organizing a charity evening arose from activity of this organization. Mother Tinatin has founded the association for only one purpose – to assist families with children diseased by cancer or leukemia. I believe this organization serves this important objective and it is very important to assist them”, Hamani said.
“Monk Andria Fund is an only foundation that assists adolescents under 18 years old diseased by cancer and their families in treatment, rehabilitation and improvement of quality of life. Treatment implies assistance, it is necessary to collect due documentation to finance treatment costs at hospitals, timely conduct examinations and provide children with due medications.
The Fund covers co-financing costs for chemotherapy and other treatments. After heavy course of chemotherapy, to prevent complications, it is necessary to carry out at least 5-day monitoring of a child. Duration of the monitoring depends on condition of a patient. During this period the Fund provides free of charge comfortable life of children in the rehabilitation hotel-house, ensures their valuable sustenance. Improvement of quality of life is a necessary condition for improving physical condition of children.
The Fund also organizes recreation tours for children jointly with their parents in summer period, depending on the financial resources.
