Preliminary Results of the 2018 Presidential Elections

By 10 o’clock of October 29 the Central Election Commission of Georgia (CEC) has counted votes in 3689 polling stations, under which 38.66% voted for Salome Zurabishvili and 37.7% voted for Grigol Vashadze, candidate form the United National Movement.

According to the preliminary information of CEC, 614 964 citizens voted for Salome Zurabishvili and 599 662 citizens backed Grigol Vashadze.

ON October 28 a total of 3705 polling stations opened in Georgia and 99.57% of the votes have been already counted.

As to other candidates: David Bakradze carried 10.97% of the votes, Shalva Natelashvili – 3.76%, Daviud Usupashvili – 2.26%, Zurab Japaridze – 2.26% and Kakha Kukava – 1.33%.
