Opening Night of the First Georgian 3D Animation to Take Place at Annecy

The opening of the first Georgian 3D animation will take place today, on 14th of March, 2017 in Annecy International Animated Film Festival.

The opening night of Dato Kiknavelidze’s animated movie Geno is taking place today at Annecy International Animated Film Festival. This is the first case when Georgian animation was included in the program of the competition in children’s movies category.

Geno is the first Georgian 3D animation which was created with the support of Georgian National Film Center. 

The story tells about the adventure of frog Geno and his neighbors, who are forced to leave the lake because of the construction which was launched around their residence. Now, they have to forget about their differences and fight for the common task- saving their house together.

Annecy International Animated Film Festival was established in 1960. Since then, it always takes place in Annes, France. It is considered as one of the most important festival of animated movies.
