Nikoloz Chikovani, Special Manager of Georgian Manganese, said that the process of recultivation of the Chiatura mines has begun, according to which several miners have already been recruited, planted grass and trees.
“Fortunately, the grass and trees started to bloom. Soon we will have a detailed plan and timelines, including biological and technological recultivation of old mines,”-said Chikovani at BM.
According to him, one of the mines was closed, the ecological problems of which were more than the effect its work.
“Improving what has been ruined for decades, doesn’t happen over night or month. We will work according to the plan, “said Chikovani.
