Ministry of Economy Divests Chiatura Manganese of Property

Ministry of Economy of Georgia has applied a law on property expropriation in relation to Chiatura Manganese. The decree by Minster Dimitri Kumsishvili has been already published at the Legislative Herald.

The issue is of land plot, where speed train will run. According to the decree, negotiations for buying off the land plot failed and, in compliance with the fundamental law, the Ministry has authorized Road Department to apply property expropriation measures.

It is noteworthy that the real estate owned by Chiatura Manganese Georgia is located in the village of Nakhshirghele, Terjola District. Total space of the land is 12 227 square meters within Kutaisi detour railroad zone. The company is entitled to appeal against the decision for a period of one month.
