Kutaisi University Campus academic and research programs, management structures and development plan will be composed by TUM and Georgian specialists.
While selecting studying and research programs as well as university management, scientific and administration staff, TUM university quality management standards have been used.
Agreement with TUM International includes Innovations center, establishing cluster hub and applied research center as well as looking for business partners. They will come up with a concept of transmitting their knowledge to develop innovative center which will support Kutaisi University to become the center of knowledge and innovations in the region.
The biggest university campus with laboratories and modern infrastructure will be built on 140 hectares territory in Kutaisi. The project budget along with Tbilisi technological center amounts to 1 billion euros and it will be financed by the fund “Kartu”.
Project management council which will include the representatives of MUT as well as Georgian and Bavarian governments will be working on the project.
MUT has 40 000 students and 10 000 members of staff. 13 university professors gained Nobel Prize in physics, chemistry and medicine.
