Borjomi-Kharagauli woodland restoration works have not started yet, Nodar Kereselidze, deputy Minister of Environment Protection and Agriculture, said. This process requires preparatory works that are already underway, he added.
Restoration works will start after preparatory works, however, the Deputy Minister cannot name exact date.
‘As to forest conflagrations and restoration works, certain time is required, including in terms of preparation of soil. Consequently, restoration works are not underway, however, soil preparation works are being carried out for the varieties that used to grow in this woodland.
We also continue plant mobilization works. After completion of these works, we will launch restoration works”, Deputy Minister of Environment Protection and Agriculture Nodar Kereselidze said.
