Gradual Implementation of a Waste Separation System in Tbilisi Starts

A Memorandum of Understanding was signed between Tbilisi City Hall, “Tbilservice Group,” USAID Waste Management Project (#WMTR) and the Georgian Waste Management Association.

The Memorandum includes cooperation between the public, private and civil sectors starting from September 2018, and aims at gradual implementation of a waste separation system in Tbilisi.

It also promotes recycling and waste management by facilitating ten-point separation stands in Tbilisi and raising public awareness. The USAID Waste Management Project is implemented by the Caucasus Environmental NGO Network (CENN).
