Giorgi Mchedlishvili, 22 years old student of the Faculty of Physics and Mathematics of Columbia University, Alongside with fellow teachers and students, developed the model of new engines and fuselage aircraft. The project won NASA competition and team is invited at NASA’s head office to hold an official presentation on September 26, 2017.
Gryphon aircraft idea Authors are Giorgi Mchedlishvili and his course mate- Ilon Gordon.
”It’s an honor for me and my team members, that NASA recognized out technical work. ”Cosmos initiative Columbia” group won Astronautic challenge, competing USA leading universities, Bachelors, as well as master teams. We invented futuristic, commercial, aircraft perfect model, that consumes less oil, it’s not that devastating for environment and significantly reduces the noise caused by it.
This is the first challenge for Columbia university, and we are glad that our enthusiasm got appreciated. Model should be implemented in 2015-2035. We are looking forward to presentation,”- says Giorgi Mchedlishvili.
