Georgian writer Anna Kordzaia-Samadashvili’s book, Me, Margarita, has been listed among 365 Books by Women Authors to Celebrate International Women’s Day All Year, compiled by New York Public Library.
This list includes a vast range of women authors, and we hope you find some old favorites and some new discoveries. And we hope that readers can draw strength and inspiration from these 365 books — and the women who wrote them — in the year ahead.
Book is about men and women, love and hate, sex and disappointment, cynicism and hope–perhaps unique in that none of the stories reveal the time or place in they occur: the world is too small now for it to matter. A disillusioned woman, the narrator doesn’t mince words about the imperfection of her life, her relationships, her prospects; yet what might in other hands seem discouraging is presented with such humor the reader can’t help but feel there may yet be hope… for most of us.
