Georgian Ambassador to China Assumes that Chinese Language Might be Taught at Georgian Schools

Georgian Ambassador to China Davit Aptsiauri informs that Chinese language might be taught at Georgian public schools. As the Ambassador said in an interview with Bm, interest towards Chinese language is increasing.

According to him, the Platform for studying Chinese language was only a Free University base a few years ago, in collaboration with Confucius Institute, today the reality is changing.

“Today, Chinese language might be also taught at public schools. Also, I am very glad that we have put our effort Chinese partners to have interest in Georgian language. Therefore, the first time it will be the exchange of professors and students who will arrive in Georgia and start studying Georgian language. This is a natural process. As soon as we begin to grow economic interest, develop relations and enhance mutual exchange of tourist flows, it is naturally the main component – we should know Chinese language to understand and cooperate with each other, “the Ambassador said.
