Georgia Ranks 41st Worldwide in terms of Wine Consumption

Georgia’s annual wine consumption per capita makes up 17 liters, i.e. total 78 000 liters a year, according to the statistics of the Wine Institute. This figure makes the country 41st worldwide in terms of wine consumption.

According to the research conducted by the Wine Institute, fourteen European countries are recorded in the list of the world’s 15 major wine consuming countries. The USA wine consumption per capita makes up 10.25 liters a year.

According to the research, the highest wine consumption per capita is registered in Vatican – 54 liters a year.

Andorra ranks second in the rating with 46 liters of wine a year. France ranks third in the rating with 45 liters a year.
