Georgia at The 21st Session of UNWTO General Assembly

On September 12-17, 2015 the city of Medellin, Colombia is hosting the 21st session of UNWTO General Assembly.

The aforementioned Assembly is being attended by delegations from more than 100 countries, including representatives of Georgia.


Herewith, on September 13, within the framework of the UNWTO Commission on Europe, Georgia was re-elected to the Committee on Statistics and Tourism Satellite Accounts. With this success, Georgia’s mandate in the Committee will be extended until 2020.


During the General Assembly the Georgian Delegation will hold meetings with representatives of various countries, as well as high-ranking officials of UNWTO. Furthermore, the Delegation will participate in forums and events related to development of tourism, which are being held in parallel to the Assembly.
