GEM Fest might be Held in Baku

In the near future, an electronic music festival GEM Fest  may be held in Baku or  the Caspian Sea coast. George Sigua, a founder of the festival organizer company Epic Stone, told  CBW. He says that the negotiations are underway with Azerbaijani colleagues on this issue.

In Sigua’s words, the company continues to work in this direction. “In November we are going to have a very amazing event in Tbilisi. In December, Winter Gem Fest will be held in one of the ski resorts. A variety of exciting events are also planned during the year. In the summer of 2016, a grand Gem Fest will be held in Anaklia again, which will be even more crowded and more representative in terms of Line up. The main Gem Fest event will be  always held in Anaklia”, Sigua notes.

In his opinion, Anaklia hoste  the festival worthily. He notes that there have been no serious irregularities during the festival. “The only drawback was the problem with accommodation. Many houses are still not ready to receive tourists. However, the problem will be gradually solved”, the organizer of the festival believes.

The Georgian brand creation, in George Sigua’s words, was the main success of the festival, which,  has international reputations for its high quality . “Money raised from the sale of  tickets was  transferred to the Solidarity Fund. We will sponsor the talented young people to study abroad. We are engaged in creation of the film about our festival. In September, I will go to Ukraine to get  a prize for  making the best summer festival. I will have to travel to Ibiza in order to also receive special prizes. The whole world knew about us. I am sure that next year  GemFest  audience will dramatically increase,  including foreigners”, Sigua adds.

Electronic Music Festival GEM Fest was  held in Anaklia from July 30 to August 7. The festival was  attended by well-known local and international musicians. DJ Armin van Buuren (Armin van Buuren) Holland, electronic duo Booka Shade from Germany, minimal house, techno-group MANDY from Germany, experimental pop trio WhomadeWho Denmark, DJ Anna Hanna – Lithuania, DJ Olga Corolla Russia, as well as Alex Picone from Italy, Andre Crom from Germany, Nastya from Ukraine, Petre Inspirescu from Romania, Radio Slave from the United Kingdom and others performed  at this year’s festival in Anaklia.
