Funding of Georgian President’s Administration Cut

Under the 2019 state budget’s final edition, funding of the Georgian President’s administration will be cut by 40% (-38 million GEL). In 2019, the President’s administration will be financed by only 6 million GEL. Moreover, number of employees will be reduced to 60 persons from current 140 ones.

Along with funding cuts, the 2019 state budget will not fund the President’s reserve fund, which amounted to 5 million GEL previously.
It is interesting that the new components were included in the third revised edition, which was submitted to the parliament on November 30, while in the previous editions the funding of the President’s administration was to b e 9.8 million GEL. And the president’s reserve fund was also maintained.
