France Becomes the 25th State to Ratify Georgia’s EU Association Agreement

The French Senate has ratified the EU-Georgia Association Agreement in the first reading through simplified procedures, without amendments, a press release from the Embassy of Georgia to France reads.

According to the Embassy, prior to the first reading the draft agreement was approved by the National Assembly.

The Association Agreement between the EU and Georgia must be ratified by 28 states. France has been the 25th state to ratify it. The document has not yet been ratified by Italy, Belgium and Greece.
