First Georgian Obtains Gail P. Kelly Award in Education Field

Doctoral dissertation of Georgian researcher Nutsa Kobakhidze was named as the best research work in 2016.

Commission of the Comparative and International Education Society (CIES) will transmit Gail P. Kelly award to Nutsa Kobakhidze. The commission is staffed of distinguished scientists from five countries.

Starting 1994 the award is transmitted to doctoral works performed in English language in the field of social justice and equality.

Academic success, original nature, scientific innovation, accuracy in research methodology and theoretical contribution to the field development are among selection criteria.

Nutsa defended her doctoral thesis in 2016 at Hong Kong university and continued working in the same university.

Gail P. Kelly award will be handed over to Nutsa Kobakhidze on March 7, 2017 at annual conference of international and comparative education, in Atlanta, the USA.
