EFP (European Film Promotion) will present 10 most promising young film directors at the Karlovy Vary International Film Festival.
With the support of the Film Festival, the EFP will present the world and European premieres by the young filmmakers to film industry and media representatives, during 4 days (July 1-4). The young filmmakers will be given the opportunity to attend master classes and meet with producers and sales agents to enhance their international connections.
It is the fourth time this year the Karlovy Vary International Film Festival hosts the EFP programme and the Georgian National Film Centre, as a member of the organization will present its candidate from Georgia.
Georgian filmmaker David Gurgulia with his film “Dialect” is among 10 new directors selected from different countries throughout the world. The film screening at the Film Festival will be supported by the Georgian National Film Centre. It should be noted that another Georgian filmmaker – Giorgi Mukhadze participated in the same programme of the Karlovy Vary International Film Festival last year.
FUTURE FRAMES has proven to be an important platform for discovering exciting new European directors thanks to the EFP member organisations who nominate their most interesting young talents. Some of the films made by the filmmakers selected to participate in the Karlovy Vary International Film Festival this year have already successfully participated in different film festivals.
The EFP initiative is supported by the Creative Europe – Media Programme of the European Union and the respective EFP member organisations. This year, the Karlovy Vary International Film Festival will take place from June 27 to July 7, in the Czech Republic.
