We are starting an ambitious project, – said the European Commissioner Johannes Hahn on the Neighborhood policy and negotiation issues, at the opening of the “Eastern Partnership European School” in Georgia.
According to him, he always believed that the European school would become a symbol of successful cooperation between Georgia and the European Union.
“My mission was to create the first school outside the EU, which will attract Eastern Partnership students,” the European Commissioner said.
According to him, 2000 young people expressed their desire to study at school, and in the end 30 young people were selected.
“It is not coincidence that we opened school in Tbilisi. The Government of Georgia has effectively reacted to this project. This is a good example of the fact that Georgia has demonstrated its own European aspirations. Over the last few years Georgia has shown us that it should be in the center of the EU family, “said the European Commissioner.
