Enguri HPP Global Attraction Project Underway

Enguri HPP Global Attraction project is underway! For the purpose of arranging tourism attractions infrastructure and education center on Enguri HPP cascade territory, on May 19  LLC Enguri Tourism Center announced competition for purchase of the zone designing works, National Agency for Cultural Heritage Preservation reports.

Applications will be accepted from June 14 to June 19.

Presumable value of the deal is 2.040 million GEL. The designing period will last 1 year and then physical construction works will start on cascade territory.

Enguri HPP tourist infrastructure includes lookout zones, ropeways, research and discovery center, open concert space and the world’s second biggest elevator on the cascade. The development concept also includes various installation events. In the near future, LLC Enguri Tourism Center and National Agency for Cultural Heritage Preservation will introduce a video clip to the society that will demonstrate tourism-culture concept of the zone.

Under the September 4, 2015 decision of Government of Georgia, the status of a monument of national importance was conferred to Enguri HPP Cascade.
