Distance Agreements Become Available in Electronic Communications Field

Georgian National Communications Regulatory Commission (GNERC) has satisfied the demand of a number of authorized bodies and made changes to the commission resolution N3 (March 17, 2006) – Regulations for Service Supply and Consumer Rights Protection in Electronic Communications Field for signing distance agreement on service supply to consumers.

Under the old edition of regulations, agreement on supply of services in electronic communications field was available only in writing form.

Technological development has also brought innovative mechanism for concluding agreements on service supply.

Under the amendments, service providers in electronic communications field will be able to sign distance agreement on distance service supply if the recipient is adult and receives valuable information on service form and conditions (fee and other information), as well as detailed information on service provider body and so on.
