Competition Agency to Explain Booking.com Case

Concerning Booking.com issue, Georgian Competition Agency explains that there was a wrong reaction about claims against online portal Booking.com.

In the competition Agency, they say that investigation still has not been launched concerning this issue.

Competition Agency only considers those claims which were introduced by NGO “Competition law and customers center. Author believes that the agreement signed with hotels by booking.com is problematic in terms of legacy.

We would like to explain that competition agency is responsible to react to all claims and explore the issue to the deepest level. With the aim to learn more about the issue, it is planned to talk with the representatives of Booking. Com. The documents signed between hotels and booking. Com have already been demanded to be checked. 

If they start investigation concerning booking.com issue, will be decided on 10th of January.
