City Hall to Illuminate Crosswalks in Tbilisi

New LED bulbs will be installed on zebra crosswalks in Tbilisi. Tbilisi City Hall will spend 286,000 GEL on the project’s implementation.

According to technical parameters, LED bulbs will be installed on special stands and they will have seven positions. The minimum warranty period is five years.

The Tbilisi Mayor talked about protecting pedestrian rights a month ago and announced plans for arranging European-standard crosswalks in Tbilisi. One hundred locations have been identified where suitable infrastructure will be arranged for safe crosswalks. Zebra crosswalks will be painted, LED illumination will be installed and additional traffic lights will be also arranged if necessary, Tbilisi Mayor Kakha Kaladze said.
