Barack Obama: Georgia has Made a Great Strides Towards Euro-Atlantic Integration

U.S. President Barack Obama congratulated Giorgi Kvirikashvili on his confirmation as Prime Minister.

He assured Giorgi Kvirikashvili that the United States will continue to support Georgia’s trajectory towards Euro-Atlantic integration and expressed readiness to cooperate with Prime Minister.

“Georgia remains a valued partner in promoting our top global priorities, serving with valor in Afghanistan and contributing to European energy security. In the 20 years since independence, Georgia has made a great strides towards Euro-Atlantic integration. I assure you that the United States will continue to support this trajectory.

Your leadership will be critical in implementing the reforms necessary to consolidate Georgian democracy, promote economic prosperity, and advance Georgia’s Euro-Atlantic aspirations.

I look forward to working with you to strengthen the partnership between our two countries. I hope you can join me at the Nuclear Security Summit this year as we continue our joint efforts to promote regional stability and security” – reads the letter of U.S. President.
