ASB Organizes Workshop on Sendai Framework Agreement Implementation Road Mapping

In the framework of “We are ready! Disability Inclusive Disaster Risk Reduction Education for a Culture of Safety” Project Arbeiter – Samariter – Bund (ASB) together with The Office of the State Security and Crisis Management Council of Georgia is organizing workshop on Sendai Framework Agreement Implementation Road mapping in Georgia. 

Workshop participants will be DIPECHO partner organizations, DPOs and governmental structures such as The Office of the State Security and Crisis Management Council of Georgia, Ministry of Education and Science of Georgia, Emergency Management Agency at the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Georgia, Social Service Agency at the Ministry of Labour Health and Social Affairs, Ministry of Regional Development and Infrastructure of Georgia, Ministry of Environment and Natural Resources Protection of Georgia, Tbilisi City Call.

The main goal of the project is: bringing relevance to and institutionalizing of the disaster risk reduction program in the education sector, introduction of learning course in target universities and increasing capacity of DPOs and NGOs working on the problems of persons with disabilities and ensure their active participation in disaster risk reduction issues.

The purpose of the workshop is to finalize Sendai Framework Agreement Implementation Road mapwith participation ofgovernmental organizations in order to use elaborated roadmap for programming and planning of disaster risk reduction strategy in Georgia.
