Petrol is Cheaper in Georgia than in Azerbaijan

The globalpetrolprices.com published the January 18 indicators several days ago. According to the report, the averaged petrol price in Azerbaijan is higher than in Georgia. The price of a liter of petrol in Georgia constitutes 0.71 USD, while the tariff makes up 0.73 USD in Azerbaijan. As to Armenia, the averaged petrol price in this neighboring country is 1.02 USD.

The situation with diesel prices is different. The price of a liter of diesel in Azerbaijan is 0.55 USD, while the tariff in Georgia makes up 0.65 USD. The diesel price in Armenia constitutes 0.96 USD.

This report is based on the information collected by January 18, 2016. Since then the GEL exchange rate has considerably changed against USD. The national currency has depreciated in Azerbaijan too. The fact is that these indicators are based on the analysis carried out in the same time period.
