According to Paata Kalandadze, Georgian ambassador to Israel, preparatory works for Georgia-Israel free trade agreement is continued. Due to the agreement signed in May in Georgia, the Parties will identify their own positions to launch negotiations between technical groups by the end of 2018, he said.
“At this stage, these issues are being specified in Georgia and Israel, due to the agreement signed in May 2018. I believe that we will achieve certain success in this direction in 2019 and this process will foster trade relations between these countries”, Paata Kalandadze said.
Minister of Economy of Georgia Dimitri Kumsishvili and Minister of Economy and Industry of Israel Eli Cohen signed an agreement on studying the bilateral free trade opportunities on May 10. The Ministers agreed on significant growth in trade relations and removing all obstacles before investors of two countries.
