The development of the Tetnuldi resort is entering a new phase, which includes the construction of essential infrastructure. Prime Minister Giorgi Kvirikashvili has made a statement to this end during a government meeting.
According to the Prime Minister, works on the construction of the Kutaisi-Tetnuldi road link and the rehabilitation of the Jvari-Tetnuldi road are also being planned.
“Together with the Partnership Fund, the government plans to actively work on creating essential infrastructure at Tetnuldi. This will include several hotels, an entertainment centre, a sports school, an ambulatory, and possibly a shopping centre. This is the least that is necessary for the resort to operate properly. We are also planning to build a Kutaisi-Tetnuldi road link via tunnels, so that tourists will be able to reach Tetnuldi from Kutaisi Airport in approximately two hours during winter. It is also vital to repair the Jvari-Tetnuldi road, so that it will be possible to access the resort from Mingrelia as well,” said the Prime Minister.
