United Nations Predicts 4,3% Economic Growth in Current Year

The United Nations published the 2018 World Economic Growth Prognosis In 2018-2019, the United Nations is expecting 3% economic growth in the world.

The United Nations is predicting for 4,3% economic growth in Georgia this year.

According to the United Nations, the unemployment rate in Georgia in 2017 was 11.4%, which is one of the highest in comparison with the member states of the Commonwealth of Independent States. In Armenia, the unemployment rate is 16.6%, in Azerbaijan 5.2%, Kazakhstan 5.4%, Kyrgyztan 7.7%, Moldova 4.4%, Russia 5.8%, Tajikistan 2.3%, Turkmenistan 8.6%, Ukraine 8.8% and Uzbekistan 5.0%.

Georgia has officially resigned from the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) in 2009, though Georgia’s consideration of geographical and economic structure is still in the group.
