Unemployment Rate is at the Minimum of 12 years

Unemployment rate is declined by 0.4 percentage point in 2015 comparing to 2014 and the figure has amounted to 12%.

According to “Geostat”, unemployment rate has achieved the lowest index in 2015 through the last 12 years.

Unemployment rate is rather low in village population comparing to the city, because self-employment traditionally exceeds in the village.

However, unemployment rate decline is fixed in 2015 comparing to 2014 in villages as well as the cities and respectively amounted to 21.5% and 4.8%.  In addition, unemployment rate has achieved the minimum rate in the urban areas through the last 15 years, while the figure is the lowest in the ruler areas for the last 9 years.

Unemployment level in terms of age shows that unemployment rate has achieved the highest index 20-24 year-old age group (32%), which is 1.5 percentage point higher comparing to the index of 2014.

Economically active population has made up 67.8% of the working-age population in 2015. population activity level is increased by 1.3 percentage point comparing to the previous year, whereas employment level – 1.4 percentage point.
